As they age, their bodies become more and more elongated and bloated. As queens get older, their egg laying capacity also increases. Don't bother looking for queen termites in your home. They're always well hidden and protected. Every termite colony has at least one queen and if that queen dies or is killed another female transforms herself into a new queen.
